Question

Avoid line/section breaks when converting to Word doc

I am using Acrobat for the first time, and am trying to convert a PDF to a Word doc. The main issue I am encountering is that there are breaks in text when it converts—sometimes sentences are split in half. I have been asked to convert from PDF to Word then format using Vellum by the document's author, and Vellum is then recognizing the mid-sentence breaks as "Untitled" sections.

Is there a way to convert to Word without these breaks? I gather it's related to where the text ends on each page of the PDF.

Apologies if this is a repeat or stupid question. I'm totally new to this, and nothing I've Googled so far has given me the answer I'm looking for.

Go to the Acessibility Pane. Select Autotag Document. See if that helps.
