Awful customer service. Adobe products do not work within adobe environment

The customer service for Adobe is awful.

I have spent the last 3 hours trying to export a PDF to word. I have a paid account, which I am logged into. However, the file will only open in what appears to be a legacy version of the app. When I try to open the file directly from the adobe app, it opens it in another app.  Same when I right click, and select open with Adobe.

I then had the displeasure of explaining this to three different people. The first one kindly told me they were transferring me to someone who could help. The second person said nothing, and just transferred me again. The third person needed me to repeat everything. Again. Then was unable to solve the issue.

Its an adobe file. I have an account. Adobe does not work with adobe, and the customer service was completely pointless. There is no recourse, no offer to try to convert the file for me and send it to me, nothing.

So essentially you've told me - sorry our product doesn't work, if you don't like it, you can always cancel your subscription.

wtf adobe. do better.

You can't have both Acrobat and Reader installed at the same time any longer. The viewer on the left in your screenshot seems to be a part of some other application ("HP Sure Click Secure View", whatever that is). I would ask them if this viewer can be changed and replaced with Acrobat. If not, you'll have to make do with how it works...

See Convert PDF to MS Word from paid Acrobat Pro.

adobe support isn't the best place for that question.  ask in the acrobat forum.

do you want me to move this post there?
