I just bought Acrobat Pro DC. I need to batch convert eml files to pdf. Is it the case that Pro DC can't do that, and I have to buy a third party software product to do this conversion?

Acrobat provides no PDF support for “Thunderbird.” You would either need to import the e-mails from Thunderbird to Outlook and use Acrobat's plug-in to Outlook to do the conversion or use some third party product (if there is one that exists) for Thunderbird's e-mail capabilities.
