Question

Blank Signature

Hi there,

When I try to sign a PDF, my stored digital signature isn't added and the signature field remains blank - however, the document audit show's that it has been  signed and dated, etc.

The documents are sent from a separate organisation - could that affect it, or does anyone have any other ideas how I can fix this

Thanks,

I've experienced sometimes a small delay before the signature pops up. Occasionally, I let it go and call it up again after that, and the signatures appear. It appears that they need first to get loaded on the computer.

Hi @Donald_Green

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

What is the workflow/steps you are doing to sign the PDF file? A small video recording of the steps you are doing and the issue you are experiencing would be very helpful.

Also, try to sign the PDF file online via the document cloud as described here https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/tools/?group=group-sign and see if that works for you.

Thank you Amal,

Your workaround of signing from online in the document cloud was successful for me as well. But I would like to see it working as it used to in my Adobe Acrobat DC.

Acrobat DC appears to save my signature image correctly, but then converts it to a transparent version that I can place on the document but that will not be visible against a white background. This is a new problem – have there been changes to the program in recent weeks that have created a bug?

Let me know if you have any thoughts about how to resolve the problem without having to resort to the cloud.

Hi there

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat and the OS you are using? To check the version go to Help About Acrobat. Also, share a small video recording for a better understanding.

To further investigate the issue we would need the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html  & the Procmon logs (Win Only) https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html

share them via any cloud storage, Just upload the log file to the cloud and generate the link and share that link with us for further investigation.
