Can now edit document after adding Fill and Sign signature

New Here ,
May 03, 2023 May 03, 2023

Seems to have started with the new version of Adobe Acrobat Pro 2023.001

Are there additional steps to take to lock the document from editing?

Any document signed using Fill and Sign opened with Adobe Acrobat Pro 2023 can now be editted.

Anyone else notice this?  How to resolve?

Hi @DawnP2023

Sorry for the delay in response.

Ideally, once you sign a document, it becomes uneditable. Signing is a final process that makes the file secure and restricts it from further editing.

Are you applying the signature using Fill & Sign feature, or is it a Certificate signature using Digital ID

? Does this form have a Signature field assigned, or it just has a basic form field with the signature name written on it?

Sometimes this feature also depends on the form type as well. It would be clearer for us to identify the root cause of the problem.

Thanks,

Akanchha

I have the same problem.  Started after recent updates to Adobe Acrobat.  Fill and sign can be easily edited with Adobe Acrobat Pro.  Signature and text can be moved, copied, and edited.  Not secure AT ALL.

Still a problem in version 2023.003.20244
