Can't copy and paste form fields from one file to another

I know this was working before, but for a while now, it hasn't been working. I am on Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Version 2019.012.20040.

When I want to copy the form fields from one document onto another, I used to be able to just open the Form workspace, select all the fields, then copy. Then in the document I want to add these to, I'd simply paste. But now instead of copying all the fields, only the first field copies over. And it also won't let me undo either as the paste action is completely ignored by it. This definitely cannot be intended behavior.

Right now, the only workaround I have is to copy the whole page from the document with the form fields I want into the document I want the form fields on. Then copy and pasting the fields will work as expected.

Does that make sense? This can be a real hassle to deal with.

Hi Wabber_HM,

Thanks for reaching out. As described above, you are not able to copy and paste the form fields from one file to another, correct?

You can create copies of a form field on a single page of a PDF form. You can also copy a form field and paste it onto other pages. When you create duplicate form fields, replicas of the original field are added to one or more other pages. The duplicate fields are always in the same position on each page as the original. Both copies and duplicates can be dragged to different locations on a page, but not from one page to another.

For detailed information please use the help article - https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/using/pdf-form-field-basics.html#copy_a_form_field

Yeah, I"ve seen the "Create Multiple Copies" option. That helps put them in the right place, but after I have copied the whole page into my document first. The initial problem still stands that if I have two documents open, I can't copy all selected form fields from one document to the other.
