Question

Can't edit form and submit button not working after users saved the fillable form in Acrobat Reader

I designed a fillable form in Acrobat Pro DC for my users. The users are able to fill out the form and submit it when they first opened it. However, if they fill it out partially, save the form and come back to edit it, the form is not editable anymore. Those blue fillable fileds are not showing and the submit button doesn't work after the form has been saved and reopened. My users are using Acrobat Reader when opening the form. A copy of my form is attached.

Urgently need help. Thanks!!

You need to find out what application(s) they're using to open and fill in the form.

It's most likely caused by using sub-par applications, such as Apple Preview or one of the various browser PDF plugins.

Instruct them to open the file in the free Adobe Reader DC for best results.

Thanks for your answer, however I don't think that's the issue. I tried filled it out in Acrobat Reader , saved it and opened it back up using Acrbat Reader and I see the same problem.

Signing the form will lock the form fields.

Thanks for your quick response.

The problem is, the form may need multiple persons to sign and once it is completed, the originator of the form will have to hit the submit button to submit the form for order processing. Is there a way around it to still be able to use submit button after it has bene "fill and sign"?
