Cannot click and drag files to put them in order on the Combine Files screen

Starting on 8/1/22, when I go to the option Tools -- Combine Files, then on the screen where I drag and drop the files to be combined, it won't let me click and drag the individual file names to put them in a particular order before combining them. I used to be able to click and drag files, moving them up or down the list before combining them. See screenshot. Now, it forces me to use the "Move Up" or "Move Down" buttons. This is much slower and is impacting the speed of my work. Please correct this issue so that I can click and drag files to put them in a particular order before combining them.

NOTE: I already repaired the Adobe Acrobat DC installatiion and that did not work.  I also already uninstalled and reinstalled the app and that did not work either.

I have the same issue.  I just found this solution in a adobe help search which I will  link.  Add and combine the files as usual, when all the documents are on the screen, switch to list view   which organizes them in a list format.  You can move them up and down by using "move up" and "move down".  The list view is the 3 lines with the dots next to it.  The answer is in number 3 (Sort Files).  It much more time consuming so I hope they go back to the way it was. I hope this helps you all!

Yes, that does work but I liked the orignal way better.  Adobe needs to put back that flexibility to organize before the combine.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well.

What is the version of the OS and the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20759 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Let us know how it goes.

I have been having this issue as well, since about the same time. Have you found a solution?

I wonder if there was an update done to Acrobat DC before 8/1/22 that caused this.

Most of the time it won't allow me to drag the file I clicked, however, sometimes if I click the file twice then it will allow me to drag and drop that file up or down the list.  But even that only works less than half of the time.  Very weird.  Adobe should roll back their update or put out a patch to correct this new issue.

No, that doesn't work either.
