Question

Combine image file rotates them oncorrectly

We're using Adobe Acrobat Pro in our content publication process - and one of the key features we rely on is the Combine image Files generated from large scans. Unfortunately since more than a year now Adobe rotates some of the image files incorrectly during the Combine process, some by 180 and others by 90 degrees. If we apply the same files again separately we can get completely different results, so very random and unreliable. We DO NOT WANT Adobe to do any "smart" rotation of the image files, or at least we would like to control it. Anyone faced this probem before? This is really frustrating as we need to create a time-consuming post-combine process to validate and correct the output. This is not productive anymore...

After you've combined the forms into a binder, select the Edit PDF option. The forms that don't look like the others will automatically be converted to horizontal view after you page down/up to them. Let it go through its process, then save the binder. You don't even have to make any edits but it's a simple hack.

Hi There,

Thanks for reporting the issue here.

While using the Combine tool, we get the thumbnail (list) view of each of the file; which can be rotated as per one's requirements as well by selecting and rotating. But by default the files gets converted the same they're been added in the app. The sequence remains the same; and due to the different page size(s) of the individual file(s) a few of them could rotate to make the final Binder document page size(s) consistent.

If the issue is still prevailing, (if possoble) please share the documents with us we'll check for any issue (if there) and get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks

Regards,

Swapnil Srivastava

@Bernd Alheit in the Windows folder we select the image files, right click and choose 'Comine files in Acrobat...
'. Does it matter though? Happy to do it another way too if you suggest one.
