Combining Files in PDF Is Running Extremely slow

When we are trying to combine various PDF's into one PDF file, lately, Acrobat has gotten alot slower.  Does anyone know of settings we may need to change to speed up the process?  We aren't talking large documents with over 30 pages... we typically combine files that may have 8-15 pages.  It used to process alot faster but in the last month or two it has really slowed down.

Agreed. Ours are taking forever to combine now.  6 files -- total of 40 pages, takes over 30min so far and its not done yet.

In our environment this is not an issue if you have the Adobe Acrobat app open before you initiate a combine from file explorer. Still anoying. But just wanted to bring it up in case some one likes this workaround.

I agree, I really liked saving steps by just highlighting the 2 files then right click and then choose combine.  It was really fast, after the update doing it this ways takes almost a minute to bring up the 2 files to combine.  Now you have to take multiple steps.. Not happy

What options does you use at combination?

I'm not sure what options you may mean.  We use the combine feature in a pretty basic way.  We highlight the various files we want to combine, right click, and choose "Combine Files in Acrobat".   We then click the "Combine" button.  That's all.  It used to combine very quickly but now it takes much longer.  We even upgraded RAM in our computers to try to help.  Mine has 32GB of ram and it is still slow combining
