Copy and Paste keeping formatting not working

Explorer ,
Feb 04, 2025 Feb 04, 2025

I have many pdfs that simply need the same boilerplate pasted paragraph. The paragraph I created is center-aligned using 3 different fonts. But all formatting, alignment and fonts get lost when I try to paste it. I tried pasting this paragraph from Libre Office Writer into Acrobat Pro as well as simply copying an already formatted paragraph from Acrobat Pro itself and pasting that into the same or other Acrobat Pro pdf documents using the keep formatting option. Neither works. Any suggestions?

Thanks

@Jeff33740050deru When you copy your text, <meta charset="utf-8" />the clipboard (where copied text goes) often only stores plain text, discarding complex formatting like fonts, sizes, and alignment. It's like copying the words themselves, but not the way they look. So, that is what might be happening.

<meta charset="utf-8" />

Honestly, you are always better to edit and change the text in the original program and then save or export as a PDF. Even though you may have the same paragraph, the fonts that you are using will be slightly differently with one another. Each font likely will have it's unique kerning, leading, and spacing characteristics—this is what makes each

typeface distinct and contributes to its overall look and feel.

Okay. Thank you. I realize that this is an Adobe forum, but do you know if other pdf editors are restricted to these basic edits as well? Is it the nature of pdf editing itself or are features missing in Acrobat Pro that other editors include?
