Hello - looking for some help with digital signatures. Currently have a document (in this case it is a permit that has been converted to replicate a front page a carbon page into Adobe PDF) which copies the fields on coloured page 1 to grey scaled (carbon) page 2. Page 1 goes in the field with a work team to perform tasks and page 2 stays in the permit office to maintain a record of current work activities. I have digital signatures set up on page 1 and page 2 - currently have to sign both pages before printing to authorise the work to go ahead. I would like to know how to only sign page 1 and that signature gets copied across to page 2 and if I need to clear the signature on page 1 it also removes it
from page 2.
Appreciate your help

Not possible, but also not needed. A digital signatures applies to the ENTIRE FILE as a whole, not just to the page on which it appears. Therefore, they can't be copied or duplicated. If you must have a signature on each page use an image or a stamp and then sign the file once at the end using a digital signature field.

Government forms that used to be completed by hand used carbon paper. The forms were completed in duplicate, triplicate or quadruplicate. With Adobe Acrobat 5.0 you could copy the signature field from page 1 to all the copy pages. Signing page 1 would also sign pages 2-4. The current security in Adobe prevents this signature field duplication. Anyone have a copy of Acrobat 5.0 or 6.0?

Hi @Rugdon,
Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!
There is a similar discussion on the Adobe Community Forums which has a detailed description of the topic: Solved: Sign multiple pages at once - Adobe Community - 7623103
Please refer to the discussion once to get better clarity.

This would be absolutely and completely wrong, even if it worked. You are probably looking at the "signature" on the page as the important thing. You must train your staff NEVER to look at this stamp, it's just something that can be faked in seconds. If not, they will one day get you in real trouble.
