Create book index with indexing info

The kind of index Acrobat can create is not the kind a book will have. It's a mechanism for searching it more efficiently, not a visual representation of terms and their locations in the file.

You must use a third party plugin: https://evermap.com/AutoBookmark.asp

If your book was created in InDesign, you can create an index there:

I don't know if this is possible in Acrobat.
