Creating an Acrobat form, but can't move, resize or copy fields using mouse drag and drop

I added form fields to a PDF file, but I can't move, resize or copy fields using mouse actions. I've checked field properties and document settings to confirm the fields aren't locked, and the options I've found for editing restrictions are unchecked. I've attached the file to this post.

In the file menu I had the option to disable "New Acrobat" and now mine works fine

This issue still exists. I am also attempting to build a form (not the first time). When adding form components

1 - It wants to repeat the same step over and over and over until I select TEXT to release my cursor from the form component

2 - Still cannot just click and grab a form component and move it. Extremely annoying!!!

Building a form has now become an almost completely impossible task.

I'm having the same issues.  No solution in this thread works (I already have the new Acrobat turned off).

I am also having this issue but slightly different. I can move the boxes BUT they jump around in certain large increments. It doesn't matter if I am using the mouse or arrow keys to move the box.  I just need to nudge  the field/box slightly to the right and it moves way too much. As if I had moved it 4-5 clicks of the arrow key.   I can't find anyone else talking about this specifically.  I have turned off the new Adobe experience.  I am on a Mac.

Thank you so much for posting as this was driving me crazy in adobe sign. Between this and the recent update to Acrobat Pro these products have become much harder to use.

Hi Mark287432408ria,

Thank you for reaching out.

We checked the form, and the form fields can be moved or changed without issues.

Please try repairing the application installation. Launch Acrobat and go to the Help menu > Repair Installation.

Reboot the machine once and check again. Ensure the mouse is working fine.

If the issue is still there, share the screen recording with us.

Share the Acrobat and OS version numbers.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

i am having somewhat of the same issue.   i use the web client since i create web forms.  when i drag fields from the right hand menu, E.I. drop down box, text fields, to my form.  Once i left off the mouse i cannot re click and drag the form field around with my mouse.  It makes me use the arrow keys EVEN THOUGH when i hover over it with my mouse it pops up the drag symbol but will not let me.
