Question

Custom Stamp Browse only has .pdf option

I'm trying to select a custom stamp. I select the Create and get the "Select Image for Custom Stamp" window. I then select the "Browse..." button. The "Open" window shows the standard MS Win open, but the dropdown only shows the defaut "Acrobat PDF Files (*.pdf)".  Other file types are not available.

My goal is to creat a transparent signature stamp. I have a transparent .png file, but since I can't select other file types I can't use it.

If there no solution to the dropdown file options, is there a way to have a transparent .pdf signature? Seems like a few years ago you could.

TIA

Does you use Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader?

What happens when you convert your transparent png to pdf? Can use the transparent PDF to make the stamp?

It's no longer transparent.

I have, however, possibly found a workaround (at least it seemed to work the first time I tried it). I used the Fill & Sign, which did give me the options of png, jpeg, etc. I'm going to keep trying this to see if it works.

I've only done this from Illustrator to PDF, then to a stamp, and the transparency held. I'm not in my office now, but can test when I return.

Or maybe another volunteer will chime in.
