Difficulty opening a PDF "Please Wait" message

I am unable to open a PDF. I am getting the "Please Wait, If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document."  I have just downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro DC earlier today so I should be up to date. Am I missing something?

Hi @Steve22015138h07e, sorry to hear about the trouble. What type of document (PDF) is it that you are trying to open? Is it a form made with an incompatible program? Is this a PDF you created or received (downloaded) from somewhere else? Does this happen with any PDF you try to open? If not, it might be a corrupted file.

Hi, I ve the same problem. I can't open my pdf documents that I have already opened before. An adobe window opens for me to subscribe but I am already subscribed. What should I do please? Can you answer me in easy English please, I am not fluent in English. Thanks in advance,
