Hey,

If we try to open a new document , we are getting the below security warning alert. Even though we added the folder privileged locations, the security dialogs still appears.

Is there a way to disable those security warning dialogs through preference or registry?

Here you go !. I did some workarounds and I found some option to disable security warning dialog through system registry in windows. It works fine for me.

Steps to follow

  • Open command prompt and type regedit and hit enter.
  • It will open up the registry editor
  • Navigate to the below path
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\Privileged
  • Double click bProtectedMode and change the value from 1 to 0.

Thats it ! Now you can open any document without security warning dialog

Hi there,

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

Also, share the PDF file in question with us so that we can check it at our end.

Hi @Mike Lauer

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Acrobat and Reader can contact selected websites by adding their addresses (URLs) to your list of trusted websites in the Trust Manager preferences. Alternatively, you can allow all URLs.

1. Choose Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Acrobat/Adobe Reader > Preferences (Mac OS).
2. From the Categories on the left, select Trust Manager.
3. Click Change Settings to specify the default behavior for accessing the Internet from PDFs.
4. Select Allow PDF Files To Access All Web Sites > Click OK and reboot the computer and check.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
