Drop down calendar in fillable form not working correctly

I  have created a simple fillable form and have the field for the date on top.  Two fold problem......When someone opens the form in Adobe Reader, the pull down calendar works to pick the date, yet it won't stay visable when you move to another field.  When I start the form with Adobe Acrobat 9, the pull down doesn't even show, I have to type the date in and it still doesn't stay visable.

Any help apprectiated and thank you!

PS: On a side note, I was using radio buttons before I changed everything to checkboxes because I couldn't get the radio buttons to UN check if I didn't want to use that one.  Any hints on tha one?

Did you ever get a resolution to this issue? In the form I created, I inserted a pull-down list of names with no problem. The drop-down arrow appears on the right as soon as I set the field. However, when I insert the date field the arrow doesn't appear. After I click in the box, the calendar drops down. This would be fine, except that it seems to only work for me! I've put the form on our server and emailed it to others in the firm to test it for me. But I get the same result. It only works for me. Any ideas? Anyone?

Regarding checkboxes, if you want a group of them to act similar to radio buttons so that only one can be selected at a time, give each check box the same field name but different export value. You will be able to deselect any so that none are selected.

- The calendar widget only appears when the cursor is located within a Date-formatted field. That's normal behavior.

- The calendar widget was only added to later versions of Acrobat/Reader. It won't appear in an old version such as 9.

- Using check-boxes is the right solution to this issue.

I am still not able to find the arrow, and it appears that the calendar needs to be used so that total numbers (days between dates) is calculated automatically to be totaled and added up automatically. totals can not be added manually. therefore need to find the arrow :-( please help.
