Recently, When I click on a PDF page , the entire page is highlighted blue.

Can you please let me know how to stop this, I am using Windows 10.

PS: The cursor has permanently turned crosshair it turns to arrow when the page is blue.

Also note you just click again and the blue goes away. Just tried it on reader and even when you dig into the view menu and choose the hand tool it doesn't stick, if you hold down space though you can click all you want and no blue 🙂

I was bothered by the same thing, and as long as you stay on the hand tool instead of the pointer tool and have the prefs set like they suggest here the page doesn't turn blue when I click in the middle of the page. Hope this helps Gazelle2219673792fq. GG

It happens because the page is an image. To disable it try the following:

Go to Edit (or the app menu if you're on a Mac) - Preferences - General and tick off the box next to "Make hand tool select text & images".

It did not work.

I use windows10 pc, I did unchck << Make hand tool select & text images>>

The documents are scanned PDF, when I click the entire page turns blue, and the cursor is always crosshair, turns to arrow after turning blue.

Check if the "Make Select tool select images before text" option is ticked. If so, untick it.

If it still doesn't work then it might not be possible.

I am sorry, it did not work, all Make etc boxes are unchecked.

Thank you try67 for your time and help, most appreciated.
