Every time I print multiple pages with HP M402n the pages (every other) are printed with garbled text and images.
Almost like its printing backwards.

Hi Patrick,
Please answer a few questions to put us in the right mood:
What is your OS and version? What is your Acrobat version?
Please post also pictures of the printed pages.
Does this happen only with specific PDF files or also with standard PDF files (eg. PDF files that you grappled from the Adobe site and that are known to be good)?
As a workaround you could try to use "print as image" (Advanced tab of the print dialogue). Does that work?

Windows 7
Acrobat Reader DC, just ran update still happens
Any multipage pdf will do it.
I printed excel and that does multipages fine.
I printed Word and that seems ok too. Just PDF's are affected.
I installed a HP M402n printer yesterday when this started
I have contacted them. They asked me to reach out to you.

HP is pretty cool by blaming others for their weird drivers. I need to say that this is only my personal appreciation.
Did you download the latests driver from the HP web site?

Thank you for posting this question. I bought the same EXACT printer and have spent hours on the phone with HP. Plus, I called Adobe and have yet to hear back.
unchecking "print both sides" solved it,
Without your question I would have returned the printer and spent hours trying to figure it out.

I have the exact same problem on an HP LaserJet Pro 500 Color. It only happens with PDF files. All other file formats print fine. Also only started happening when I upgraded to Acrobat Pro. I didn't have any problems with Acrobat Reader.
I need to be able to print color copies 2-sided.

As stated above the probem occurs only with the 64 bit version of Adobe on the HP Laserjet 500. You can print pdf files in color both sides with the free Acrobat Reader DC 32 bits. Once installed, Adobe will automically remove it and replace it with the faulty 64 bit version unless you do as explained in my initial post. It is not a simple solution to implement but it has been working on my PCs for years now. Would you like me to post the solution again?

Is there a way to disable the setting "Print on both sides of paper" ? That seems to be why every other page is printing backwards and inverted.
I uncheck it but the next time I go into the print job it has it checked.

Seriously? You buy an expensive "Print on both sides" printer and you disable printing on the backside? And that's the end of it ?
