I'm using Evermap Autoportfolio plug in to convert emails and attachments into a single document from email portfolios created using the Adobe plugin in Outlook. At some point during this process, Adobe is adding a File Attachment Icon (yellow push pin) over the attachment links:

How can I stop Adobe from doing this? (I've confirmed with Evermap that it isn't something it does.) Or alternatively, is there a batch process that can be used to remove them? The comments are locked and they are tedious to remove.

You can try to save your PDF in Acrobat as an optimized PDF using the settings in the attached screen shot.
(File> Save-as-other> Optimized PDF).
If that works, you can use the Action Wizard to create an action that you can apply to a PDF, or a folder of PDFs.
There is probably also an Acrobat preflight that does the same thing.
There may be an Acrobat preference that is adding the pop-up?

Thanks. That works, but it also deletes all other comments as well. The only ones I want to delete are the ones that Adobe is creating. I'll take a look at the settings. We recently upgraded to Adobe DC from our previous Pro version and didn't have this issue. So it makes sense that it is an Adobe setting.

Turns out it is happening when I add bates numbering to the document and only when I check the "Shrink document to avoid overwriting the document's text and graphics."
