Fill and Sign feature on pdfs

I have a paid subscription to Adobe and can fill and sign forms and I find this feature extremely useful. However I believe this feature is only available for people who have the subscription? I need to email pdfs to various people for completing/signing and am hoping to prevent the need to print, sign, scan and return email.

If Fill and Sign is only available for subscribers - please advise what other methods/programs allow digital form completion and signing.

Thanks in advance,

Michelle

Anyone with a relatively new version of the free Adobe Reader can do it.

Thanks. How new? Which versions and above offer this feature?

Acrobat Reader X and later all allow signature fields to be signed without any special rights.  X and XI also connected to an online service for signing with the image of a signature, but you had purchase a subscription.

Reader DC has a feature for signing with the image of fake handwriting that is free to everyone.

Signatures are tricky things, both technically, legally, and in a workflow.  There are different types of signatures. A wet signature is just an image of a signature and doesn't have any special properties. A digital certificate signature encrypts all or part of a file to protect access and changes.
