I'm getting a microsoft outlook error when I attempt to submit the fillable form.  It pulls up the email with attachement like it's going to send and then an error box appears that says, "This Action Cannot Be completed."  Please help I've spent way too much time on trying to get this to work.   I'm followed all the steps multiply times and same error keeps appearing.

why the submit button does not work when i download the form from the website and try to submit the document, i have to save the form on the desktop to make it work.

Any possible solution??

No, and Adobe can't fix it because they don't have any control over what the browser makers do. I suggest you use HTML forms. They can also be secure if https is used. Email is completely unsecure, and in many countries is forbidden for personal info.

I'm having the exact same problems. The submit button does not work when it uploaded to the web. All other form parts are working perfectly. The submit button does nothing. I'm using the mailto:xxx.com option. HELP!!

Wondering if there is a fix for this problem yet?

Yes, so many of our clients use their browser to view PDF documents which means the Click to Submit button does not work.  Would be great to get a fix for this issue or a work around at least please Adobe.  Thanks

Hi,

If I understand correctly, you have the mailto: already assigned to an email address. However, when you hit submit button it further asks you to "Choose the email" isn't it?

Upon creating form using Acrobat>Prepare form tool To collect form data as attachments to email, type mailto: followed by the email address. For example, mailto:nobody@adobe.com.

Make sure that the email address used is correct and it doesn't have any sort of security settings enabled which blocks such responses.

Also, try removing and re-adding the mailto: addres in the PDF form.

For detailed steps, you make take help of this detailed article: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/setting-action-buttons-pdf-forms.html#add_a_submit_button

Thanks,

Akanchha

What does "won't work" mean, exactly? What happens when you click it? Is

there an error message of some kind? Also, how did you set it up?

Thanks for your response!

By “won’t work,” I mean nothing happens when you click on the button. I followed the instructions given at the Adobe site.

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to add "mailto:" before the email address.

Thank you so very much!!  I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help!
