Fillable form will overwrite subsequent forms of the same kind when combined into a single pdf.

I use a portfolio of 15 different fillable forms for my project.

As I complete the form, I will "Save As" to a temp folder.

There is one form I will complete 4 or 5 times, each time with different data.

When I complete my project and all forms completed, I will then combine all forms into a "Single PDF".  But when I do that the one form I have completed 5 times, rather than having 5 forms with different data, the data of the 1st of the 5 is transposed into the other forms ofhte same kind and I end up with 5 forms with the same data in each.

Anyway to fix this.  What I have been doing to work around it but I don't like it, rather than "saving as" to a folder, I "print to pdf" to a folder. But when I do that I lose all the fillable formatting in the pdf.

Thanks all in advance!

One option is to flatten each completed form before you combine them into a single PDF. Flattening converts form fields (and other annotations) to regular page contents. There are a number of methods you can use to flatten a form, including this free JavaScript-based utility: UVSAR : Selective Flattener tool for Adobe Acrobat 8, 9 and X

Another option is to add each individual completed form as a separate file and include each as a file attachment to a PDF.

Am I not "flattening" the form when I "print to pdf"? Because that turns them into a "plain" pdf.

Printing PDF to PDF damages all sorts of things in a PDF, not just flattening. But yes, it does flatten.

Forms are designed specifically to work exactly as you describe. You cannot turn this off, so you must do one of the following- use a portfolio (that's why they were invented)

- flatten each form

- change each form field name
