Fit to width scrolling default

Contributor ,

How do I set my Preferences so that my page view is "Fit to width scrolling" by default? The options in Preferences are confusing (ex. Single page continuous, Two up) because (1.) they don't correspond to the options in Acrobat's toolbar and (2.) "continuous" doesn't do what I thought it would do.

Hello friend! I hope this gonna help you!

Setting Viewing Preferences in Acrobat:

  1. Open the PDF: Open the exported PDF in Adobe Acrobat (not the free Adobe Reader, but the Pro version if available).

Go to File Properties: File > Properties (Ctrl + D on Windows or Cmd + D on macOS).

  1. Initial View Tab:
    • Navigation Tab: Set to Page Only (or as needed).
    • Page Layout: Select Single Page Continuous (for scrolling).
    • Magnification: Choose Fit Width to ensure the document opens to fit the page width.
  2. Save the PDF: Close the properties window and save the PDF.

I'm sorry to see that over two years have passed and this question has not been answered. The first time I open a PDF in Acrobat, I have to change this setting. It seems to be retained for the next time I open the same PDF. So where is the preference setting that would relieve me of this repetitive task?
