Getting issue in pdf with pds

I am using pdf with pds & using text field for it for "DD" format and in options properties use "Comb of" with 2.
When I am entering date as 05 or any 2 digit number. It is taking onlt 1 value, and it works while pushed delete button. Don't know why it is taking extra space. Any thoughts please.
