Getting "key not valid for use in specified state" after the most recent update

The knowledge base says to run the cleaner app, but that removes it totally.

This was after the most recent update.

If I do this, how do I get the product back?

The installation files (if they exist) are from years, and many versions, ago.

And why is this happening now? I've done many updates without issue so far.

using a browser that allows popups and cookies, contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

All I needed to do was to create a new signature.

It's working fine now.

Unfortunately, this didn't help.  I'm not surprised, since KB2918614 was installed on my PC in 2015, and all the previous versions of Acrobat worked fine with it.  It's clearly the newest Acrobat update (11.0.21) that's causing the problem. Perhaps I should uninstall that.

But that does not appear to be a possible choice of action.  No "Uninstall" button appears when it's selected.
