Handwriting font in text box

Question

Hello, we are creating a fillable PDF that includes a signature box. We would like the users to be able to type their name in the box so it automatically appears in a handwriting font, rather than having to create and add a separate signature file, as most of them don't have the tool or the patience to that. Is it possible to set a default font for just the signature box, so that all other fillable fields would maintain their own font (Arial, non-italic)?

Are you providing the users with a certificate-based digital signature field or are leaving the form open to be used with the "Fill & Sign" tool?

In any case if you prefer, you can also employ in your workflow Adobe Sign.

It allows the users to sign the PDF document using a wet signature or to draw a wet signature on the fly.

The users of your PDF form are not required to purchase an Adobe Acrobat Pro DC subscription, nor have installed Adobe Reader DC in their computing device(s).

In fact, they can use a web browser, or even employ an electronic signature of their choice using a mobile device.

In the case of using a desktop computer to view and fill your PDF, by which there's no touch-enabled screen device, they can still use a mobile device option that adds their phone number to their user profile; they draw their signature in the mobile device and it generates a link to upload their signature onto the document.
