Help Please! Pop up image button I need for work

Hi, hoping someone can help!

 

I'm trying to create a pop up image on a PDF, that appears once you hover over the image. It's for work & my manager keeps asking, but i can't seem to figure it out. It's basically a map and when you hover over Sweden, they want a little image we have made to popup on the PDF (The image has some info for complience in Sweden that our clients need.) What I'm finding is that the image is either added over the top of the PDF, but not as a pop up, just a picture covering the map & nothing changes when I click or move the mouse OR the image disapears when I change a setting, but then doesn't pop back up when I hover over it. I must be doing something wrong, would you have any tips, i'd really appreciate it if so as it would massively help me out at work. 

 

I have attached the document & hoping someone can figure this out because i'm lost!

    Okay, so I first I went on "prepare a form" then "edit" and created an image feild from the "add form components box" which I added my image into, next I clicked the "button" from the same "add form components box" and right clicked to see properties, then went to actions & selected the trigger as "Mouse enter" then selected an action as show/hide field, then pressed add. I made sure all the boxes & image had no colour or outline selected & on general clicked the read only button. I have attached the docs Im trying to edit so you can see. Also when I click preview, should that let me test if it wortks or do I have to downlo9ad it? Thanks.


    Do not use the Preview mode in Acrobat for testing it. Just exit the Prepare Form mode and return to the normal viewing mode.

     

    Please read my description again. You need two fields. One to hold the image and one to cause it to display/hide. You've added the former, but not the latter. Also, they can't overlap.

    I added for you an example button to show/hide Denmark when you hover over it with the mouse. See attached.

    You need to use two button fields for this: The trigger field and the image field. The trigger is a transparent button that is placed over the area you want to "trigger" showing/hiding the additional image. If you want the image to appear when hovering over the trigger (and disappear when exiting it) then use the Mouse Enter and Mouse Exit events of the trigger field to show/hide the target image. This can be done with a script or even the built-in Show/Hide a Field command. The target field is a (read-only) button that simply holds the image you want to pop-up as its icon. Make sure the image you use has a transparent background, and that the button itself is set to have a transparent fill color, so that it shows over the underlying image and not covering it.

    Hi, thanks for coming back to me. I have tried seperating it & using a button & an image for this but when I click preview it just doesn't work. Am I using the wrong Adobe, I'm just not sure? I'm currently doing this in Adobe Acrobat Pro. I keep thinking this must be it & then I test it by previewing and the image doesn't work. I'm wondering about how I'm exporting it also, as there doesn't seem to be an option to download it as a interactive PDF. Would you be able to send step by step or even have a try at doing it & obviously will pay you for doing it, sorry to be cheeky I really need it for work and I'll try anything by this point. I attached the docs in my inital post, any help is so appreciated!!

    Yes, it should work in Acrobat Pro. I think the description I provided above was pretty detailed.

    If you can't get it to work post your file with what you attempted to do.
