How can I hide tooltips on radio button?
I don't want to show tooltips when mouse over the button.

Correct answer JR Boulay

It's a new "feature" of Acrobat DC: now it always displays the tooltip AND the export value of any radiobutton/checkbox.

If there is no tooltip it only displays the export value.

I assume that this new behavior is related to accessibility, but I can't be sure.

Wow, good to know. What an annoying "feature"... Does it also do that if there is a tooltip? If so, you could possibly override it by using a single space as the tooltip. It will still show the tooltip "window", but it least it won't include all of this unnecessary information that can just be confusing to the user.

Hi Rogerlcm,

Thank you for reaching out.

If you add this radio button using the Acrobat Pro DC, you may remove the tooltip for the form field.

Use the steps as suggested below:

1. Open the PDF in Acrobat and go to Tools > Prepare Form.

2. Select the radio button and right-click on it.

3. Select "Properties" from the list that appears.

4. Go to General Tab and remove the text from the tooltip field in the Properties window.

Check the screenshot below for reference:

Hope the information helps.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
