How to I add text on top of a custom stamp?

I created a custom stamp that needs text to be edited on top. It's an approval stamp (replicated from a rubber stamp) that we are trying to use digitally. There are spaces for codes and job numbers and approval initials that need to be filled in but the text doesn't show when I "edit text" > "add text". Any suggestions on how I can do this? It kind of defeats the purpose if it needs to be printed, hand written then scanned. Screenshot attached. The red "stamp" is where I need to be able to add text. Thanks for any help!

I am using Adobe Acrobat 2020 on Windows 10

I did it by creating my stamp as a text box with a transparent background in Microsoft Word. Then I saved it as a PDF and cropped it to size.  I then added it as a custom stamp to my Standard Business stamps selections. The text that I add to (actually, under) the stamp shows through very well. Hope this helps.

I am trying to do the same thing! I don't see a solution here. Is there one?

Adding text on top of a stamp is going to be tricky. You need to include it as a part of the stamp itself.

Search the forum for "dynamic stamp" for more details on how to do that. This subject was discussed here many times in the past.

Problem is a Dynamic stamp isnt what people want at least not in the way you are describing.

Most people want a stamp where fields are available to actually type in after the stamp is applied, not have it automaticaly flattened and pre populated. or have the option of literaly just typing in some text on top of the stamp after its been created. Can this be done?

Yes, but it requires a much more complex script to implement it.
