Hi everyone,I run a website in the USA related to construction estimating services ( https://nedesestimating.com/ ), and I often create blogs and downloadable PDF reports or estimates for my clients.I noticed that my competitor’s PDFs load faster, look more professional, and may even help them attract more traffic. However, my PDF files seem heavy, and sometimes the formatting doesn’t look clean when opened in Adobe Acrobat or shared online.Can someone please guide me on:How to optimize PDF size and layout for web publishing?What’s the best way to make PDFs SEO-friendly or more visible in Google Search?Any Acrobat Pro tools or settings recommended for professional construction estimating documents?Thank you!

@mep_0143 one of the first things I saw on the PDF was an image on every page (like a watermark) in the centre on every page which is quite blurry. I can't tell what application how these PDFs are created, but when you optimized a PDF for the web, you are saving for faster downloads but quality isn't the greatest; on the flip side, if your target audience lives domintaely where internet bandwidth is fast, having a higher quality means better viewership but bigger files.

I would replace the blurry image/watermark with a high-quality vector graphic (like an SVG or a logo from an Adobe Illustrator file). Vector graphics remain sharp at any size and take up very little space in a PDF compared to large JPEGs. If exporting the PDF, set the Downsampling to 150 ppi (don't go below 150 unless it's a very simple text document).

For SEO, it comes adding meta data to naming the files to making sure there are internal links to heading tags (H1, H2) and Alt Text for images. Google uses these tags for indexing.
