I am trying to convert a Publisher file into a fillable PDF form but continue to get an error message. Are publisher files not a compatible file for fillable PDF's?

I like working with publisher to create forms. I used to be able to convert these to fillable PDF's, but it continues to give me an error message saying in cannot create a new PDF form. Please advise. Thank you

I'm selecting an original Publisher document file; you aren't able to convert a publisher file like you can with word?

That is correct. Acrobat DC does not provide a PDFMaker for Publisher. You must open your document in Publisher, create PDF (either using the Microsoft “save as PDF” or printing to the Adobe PDF PostScript printer driver instance), and then open that PDF file in Acrobat to create a PDF form.

I click on Tools, Prepare form. I then add the publisher file under select a file. After I press start the exact message that comes up says: Adobe Acrobat DC could not create a new PDF form.
