Hi Aparsen,

Sorry for the delay, I was in my garage getting some woodworking done. (I'm retired)

OK, couple of things. Acrobat Pro of any version does not have ANY scanning capability. What it does utilize is a piece of software called "Twain" that let's it link to your scanner's software which does the actual scanning. Twain allows devices and software to talk with each other.

So what kind of scanner do you have (I gather it's a printer, scanner, fax machine kind of unit?), and what software came with it to do the scanning?

Now one other thing that I started thinking about is that almost all scanning software requires you to do an initial scan so that the user can properly crop the image, and get some general adjustments done before the real scanning takes place. The names for this might be "Overview," "Prescan," "View," and a host of other possibilities.

To see if this is the issue, can you see the document you wish to scan on the screen or is the screen blank? If it's blank, than that's the issue. Look for some button to click on to get the process going.

Let me know how that works out.

HI Aparsen,

Whew, we need more information, sorry.

What operating system are you using?

What version of Acrobat are you using?

Did you create the scan from within Acrobat or are you using the scanner's software?

If the scanner's software, what kind of scanner and what level of that software did you use? ( For example, I use an Epson scanner and when I use the Epson software there are three levels of scanning: Basic, Office, and Professional.)

Thanks for this info.

Acrobat 9 is not compatible with Windows 10, so problems like that one are to be expected. It's time to get a newer version.
