Question

I cannot save as or password protect my PDF files

When I try to "Save As" or password protect now, the Adobe DC comes out with a blank grey dialog box with no clickable aspects and denies me the capacity to use these functions.  I am very angry because this is ridiculous.  Please help me fix this.

Hi,

We apologize for the delay in response to your issue.

This issue was highlighted in the previous release and has already been reported to our engineering team. Meanwhile, try the following suggestion and see if that helps!

1- Update your Acrobat to the most recent version. Open app>help>check for update or you can install the patch from here: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html

2- Navigate to Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>General> uncheck "Show online storage when saving file">Ok> close and reopen app.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Hi,

My Acrobat said that it was up to date already.  When I went to your website where a "patch" was presumably available, it was in fact a long laundry list of various items and there was no clarity about what would help with the issue.  I have in fact unchecked what you suggested to uncheck.  We'll see if I can now save files or password protect my files in future.  This whole thing seems silly to me that I'd come up with this blank grey dialog box that won't let me do anything.  I'm not trying to store anything online nor have I ever.

Please do let us know if that helps.

As shared previously, it has already been reported to engineering and the fix version will be available in near future.

As soon as we'll get the update, will keep you posted.

Thanks,

Akanchha
