I can't get adobe acrobat to save anything.  I pull up a pdf from web and wish to save to my local drive and I get a blank box.

Do I need to reinstall?

Hello @BKSonn

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

Could you please share more details about the issue? Are you on a Mac or Windows machine, and what is the version? Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 25.001.20630, Planned update, Aug 18, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.

You can also reset the app's preferences, restart the app, and try again.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Not so fast. First try this:

Go to Edit - Preferences - General and tick off "Show online storage when opening files" and the same when saving files.

I'm having the same issue.  I cannot save.  I did try your suggestion but the Save As dialog is totally grayed out.
