After I subscribed and unsubscribed to Abode extra services I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe but I still could not do the basic task of printing a document to Pdf. I have subscription to Adobe cloud through work and am able to login to Adobe creative cloud but I don't know how to make it work.

Hi @Centenary386231588e1b,
This is only possible if you have Adobe Acrobat installed with an active license on a Windows machine.
You don't have it available with Reader—it is a freeware application. If you have canceled your Acrobat subscription, it is not possible either.

Do you have Acrobat installed and are you logged into it with your account that has the subscription?

I don't have the paid subscription any more but I would like to be able to use the free adobe acrobat reader, what should I do? I tried downloading and installing many times and still can't print pdf.

Sorry, do you mean Adobe Acrobat a free application?
This is because before I purchased Adobe subscription I must have got Adobe Acrobat installed but since I cancelled my subscription, it seemed the Adobe Acrobat discontinued. I am so confused with so many Adobe products.

@Centenary386231588e1b You mentioned you have unsubscribed from Adobe Acrobat.
If you don't have an active subscription to Adobe Acrobat, it will act as a freeware application.

What should I do now to be able to use the free adobe acrobat reader?

You can get it here: https://get.adobe.com/reader/
But again, you can't use it to print another file to a PDF. You can use it to print an existing PDF file to your printer, though.

Thanks, I have downloaded and installed but when I went to print to pdf it still asked me to renew my subscription. Meanwhile, I can do the same task on other computers that do not have any subscription? I am so confused.

Print to PDF is a paid feature, and PDF Printer only gets installed with Adobe Acrobat and when you have an active subscription. Let us know if you have questions.

I'm in the same situation. Was ALWAYS able to print to pdf before having a Pro subscription. After cancelling my sub (after two years of paying and nto really using) I now can't do this simple task. So frustrating! Shouldn't have to pay $30 a month to utilise a simple feature that is usually available for free.

Please read the thread above. Printing to PDF is not, and never was, a feature of the free Adobe Reader.
If you were able to do it without Acrobat then you were using non-Adobe software to do it.

I've only ever used official Adobe software. I've just uninstalled all Adobe, reinstalled free reader and now I have access to Microsoft print to PDF, but the general print to PDF option is gone. 15 mins ago I couldn't do either, so glad to have the option back. Maybe the wording is different depending on if you Sub or not, but there was always an option there for free.

No, there wasn't. I'm not going to discuss it further with you, though. If you want to believe that there was, be my guest.

Fair enough, you're free to believe what you want also. I'm just stating my current situation in that I have only the free Adobe reader, and I am able to utilise Microsoft print to PDF. You saying it isn't true doesn't make it any less real mate, but go ahead. Makes no difference to me at all. Have a lovely day 🙂

No, I never said that. I said you can't do it with any Adobe software. You're using Microsoft software (as is evident by the printer's name), which is of course possible. Read my replies again, please.
