In Acrobat DC Pro is there a way to change the default directory for the "save" command and "insert file" command from (apparently) the last directory used to the current working directory?

Is there a way to change the default directory for save & insert to the current working directory?  I find it very aggravating & time consuming to "save" or "insert" & then have to find the current working directory in lieu of the last one used.  At least that seems to be the default directory.  Usually I forget & have to hunt down the document.  Thanks.

Hi Patrickm,

There is no option to change the default directory when saving the document.

It automatically shows the recent file directories when you save a document.

When you say insert the document, if you are referring to Add files option, it will show you the location from where you last selected the document.

There is no option to change that either.

Hope that answers your query.

Let us know if you have any questions or referring to something else.
