Question

In Page Thumbnails Pane, Ctrl+Click not deselecting last page selection

When I am selecting multiple pages in the Page Thumbnails pane (on the left of screen), usually by using Ctrl+Click, I can also deselect pages by Ctrl+Clicking on any of the already selected pages. This function works perfectly in my Acrobat Pro 2020 (Classic) version. However, in the Continuous Release version (2023), when I try to deselect the last page selection I made (using Ctrl-Click), every page selection I have made is deselected except for the one I am Ctrl+Clicking on. This would be the same result as if I merely clicked on the page without using the Ctrl key. Is this by design, or is there a setting I need to change? As a teacher, I use this method of selection and deselection often to differentiat work packets for my students. I hope this has not been done by design because it takes away some important functionality and seems to add nothing.

Thank you to everyone who upvoted my post. But a week has gone by, and I have received no response. Does anyone know why the "Continuous" version of Acrobat has the described different behavior than my 2020 "Classic" version? I cannot see any rhyme or reason for it. I am a newbie to this forum and disappointed that no one has offered any help yet. Does everyone experience the same behavior on their "Continuous" Acrobat versions? Do actual Adobe support people read these forums? Is there a better way for me to get help on this issue? I would so appreciate any response. Thanks in advance. Also . . . what is an upvote anyway?

I'm having the same problem and it's extremely annoying.

Deselecting the last, or any selected page for that matter, was possible until the latest update.

I was excited to see I wasn't the only one having this problem.  I was sad to see that no one has responded.  It would be great to hear from a community expert.
