Install error-Win7, Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed.

Trying to install Acrobat X Pro to Win 7. I get this error message: Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed.

I have uninstalled Acrobat Reader, Digital Editions, Air, and Flash. I have removed every vestige I know how to from the registry and from app data, program files, common files ..... every time, I think, this must be the culprit and reboot, however, I continue to get the same message.

 

Can someone please help me. Do I need to reinstall Win7?

Hi there

 

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As you are trying to install Acrobat X on Win 7 machine

 

Adobe Acrobat X and Windows 7 both are EOL applications and no longer supported, there isn't much that we can do in this case.. If you have the installer disk of Acrobat X you may try creating a new test user profile on Win 7 with full admin rights and then try installing the application there and check.
Note: It may or may not work.
