Insufficient Data for an image when opening from Word Document

Whenever I open a pdf straight to word from a saved location on my computer, it opens up without problem. However, when I attach a pdf to a word document, and then attempt to open it, I consistently have a problem with an alert that comes up that says that I have insufficient data for an image. This will cause only the first couple pages of the pdf to load and the other to be blank. I've tried following the guides on here to change the layout or to sanitize the document, but none of these options help. Again, the pdf opens fine when opened normally, but when opened as an attachment to a word document it becomes a problem.

Did you mean to say, whenever you try to open a PDF straight into Adobe Acrobat Pro from a saved location?
And if you do have Adobe Acrobat, which version?
Otherwise, how can you open a PDF into MS Word?
As far as trying to open a PDF that is attached to a MS Word document, what exactly is the PDF handler defaulted to in your system?
Is it Microsoft Edge? or is it Adobe Acrobat Reader?
Or is it Adobe Acrobat Pro DC?
If you're on MS Windows, which version?
And what version of MS Office is running on MS Windows?
are you using a preview of the attachment using an MS Office Add-in?

Yes I mean to say whenever I try to open a PDF straight into Adobe Acrobat Pro from a saved location. For Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, I am using version 2022.001.20085.
In a word document, a pdf can be inserted as an attachment. When I oepn the PDF from s saved location on my desktop, it loads without problem. However, when I open the same pdf after being attached to a word document, there is frequently an error that states that there is insufficent data for an image. My default application for opening PDF's is Adobe Acrobat DC.
My current MS windows version is 10.0.19042 Build 19042. I am using word version 2108 (Build 14326.20852 Click-to-Run). My version of Office is 18.2110.13110.0.
I am not using a preview of the attachment using an add-in. I do not have any add-ins. I do have an acrobat tab available within word.
