Question

Intercepting a file being sent to printer

Hi Friends!

I am facing a real challenge here and have asked around but have had no successful solution:

I have a database of thousands of ebooks. The person who developed the database has limited printing to a PDF of more than 20 pages which drives me crazy. I DO NOT WANT TO PLAGERIZE ANYTHING JUST FOR MY OWN REFERENCE.

However, you can print to hard paper printer as many pages as you want. A few years back I overcame this limitation by printing to a virtual printer like SnagIt. But they have gotten smarter and now all the virtual printers I have tried to install do not even show up in the programs list of available printers (how do they know what is real and what is not??!)

Is there anyway I can choose a hard paper printer and have it "intercepted" into a pdf?

Thank you

Susan

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

It seems to be some limitation set by the developer, as a workaround you may try to print as PDF the document and save it with a new name and then try to print this newly created PDF and see if that works.

As I said, if I choose the print-to-PDF option (in the program itself) it limits to 20 pages. ALL pdf and virtual printers do not even show up in the list of available printers.

Still hoping...

Hi there

It seems to be some sort of limitation set by the developer, there isn't much that we can do. Please try to contact the developer and see if that helps.
