Since the Sept 2023 update, every time I open an Acrobat file, it gives me the following prompt, asking if I want to put it in Full Screen mode - which I never want to do. I have to check "Remember my choice for this document" and then "No" every single time. This is really frustrating because I typically have to re-export and save new pdfs multiple times (graphic design related) so remembering my choice for a pdf doesn't really work for me, as I typically have to overwrite the pdf multiple times.
Is there any way to make it so Acrobat stops asking me if I want to go full screen for every document? It's really frustrating. I've tried Preferences, General, Reset All Warnings, same with unchecking the options at the top of Preferences, Full Screen menu. Nothing has worked.

Then you'll have to disable it for each file, under File - Properties - Initial View.

Under Preferences - Full Screen, tick off "Alert when document requests full screen".

But if I do that, it just automatically goes full screen for every document then. Which I don't want that either.

This is horrible..... disabling it for each file.

This is my issue, too. Very frustrating that I can't set Acrobat to not default to full screen mode. Our printer requires single-page PDFs, so I approve each page individually. Having to click "No" and the Remember my choice box for every page is really annoying. If I find a way to avoid it, I'll post here.

Hello @Michael33959837zisv
I hope you are doing well, and we are sorry for the delayed response and the trouble.
Could you please share more details about the issue? Is it happening with all the PDFs, or is it specific to one? Are you on a Mac machine, or Windows, and what is the version? Have you tried the suggestions shared in this thread?
Check Acrobat Preferences
Open Adobe Reader and go to:
Preferences (Cmd +k) > Full Screen
Disable Document-Level Fullscreen Settings
Some PDFs are saved with a setting that forces full-screen mode. To prevent this:
Check Accessibility Settings
You can enable Protected View via Menu > Preferences > Security (Enhanced) to restrict automatic full-screen prompts from unknown sources. It’s a bit more restrictive but adds an extra layer of control.
Let us know if that works for you. If you wish to share your feedback with the product team, you can use the Adobe Wish form.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Thanks for the screenshots and for following the suggestions.
If you create a new PDF, let's say from MS Word, save it locally on the machine. Then, try opening it in Acrobat and checking if it opens in full-screen mode.
The machine you are using is it personal or office (IT-managed)? And if you have a two-monitor setup, try disconnecting one and using the smaller one just for testing purposes, and see if the result is the same.
Kindly let us know the result of each suggestion, so that we may get an idea.
Best regards,
