Hi all. I need to deactive all web links in a PDF. After selecting Edit PDF > Link > Remove Web Links, the are still active. Acrobat even tells me no web links were found. Document was made from InDesign (were the Interactive Elements was set to Do Not Include). I've tried all kinds of ways to take them out, please help!

Correct, this setting applies to all documents. You can instruct your users to disable it before opening your file and enable it afterwards.

Use the link tool and add a link which does nothing.

  • In Acrobat DC
  • Go to Edit>Preferences>General
  • In the Basic Tools section go to the second check box and deselect the item that says "Create links from URLs".
  • Click the OK button.

Steve, thank you for your answer, but this option deactivates links for all opened PDFs.
