Missing content in PDF

Ive tried to find and answer to this issue, but have hit a brick wall.

I work in a print shop and we deal with many hundreds of PDF's a month.  This is a new issue for me!!!

Im running the latest version of Acrobat Pro (2023.003.20269 | 64 bit) on a Windows 11 PC.  I started noticing some of my PDF's that are supplied to me via our clients have parts of the PDF missing.  There are other machines in here that can open the same PDF and all is OK.  This doesnt happen to all PDF's though.  Most of the info I am finding that address this issue online is from 3 or more years ago.  Hoping someone else has had the same issue and found a resolution.  Thank you and good luck 🙂

Sorry for the delayed response.

I can't find anything wrong with your sample pdf's so I'm going to assume something is wrong with your Acrobat install. Download and install Adobe Reader on your computer, does the pdf look ok there? If yes, then download a fresh copy of Acrobat and install, if you get a question to replace your preferences, say yes. Apply any updates. Any improvement? If the sample pdf is showing the same issue in Reader, then there is likely something in your computer settings causing the problem.

Uninstall and reinstall worked.  All is good now 🙂 thank you for taking the time to help me

Are things missing on-screen, or only when printed? What is missing? is the missing object white? Are pdf comments, form fields or stamps missing? Can your rip handle transparency properly? Are there spot colors in the pdf?

Please include as many details about your workflow as possible. Can you upload a sample page of a pdf that has missing content?

Thank you for getting back to me.  I have attached the actual PDF file supplied by the client as well as a screenshot of what I see on the Eagle Self Storage file.  If I drop this into InDesign, all is ok.  see screenshot.

This only happens when I view the original of this on my computer either from my desktop or sitting on our server... I get the same results

Yes, there is one SPOT color... PMS356 Green, which is the large green background that is missing

Ive also attached another file that I originally discovered this issue.  Same situation, does not veiw correctly on my compueter, but prints well and works just fine within InDesign.  Screen shots attached.  No spot color

Yes, we can handle transparencies on our RIP as well as on our digital presses

Thanks again
