Missing objects/lines when printing PDFs generated by Solidworks

Some objects/lines are missing from the drawing when printing PDFs generaged by Solidworks. It doesn't matter which version of Adobe we use to print the drawings, it always misses the exact same lines. My client uses Acrobat X and prints from a Konica printer. I tested the problem with Adobe Acrobat DC and printed from a cheap HP laserjet. Same outcome.

Attached are 2 pictures. One is of two printouts using other .pdf software (Edge and Foxit) which print correctly. The other is of two additional Adobe printouts. The Adobe default printout and a printout using print as image (which prints correctly but the quality is too low for my client).

I had to blur out confidential/proprietary information, but you can clearly see the problem that only Adobe seems to have regarding these PDFs.

Any assistance would be fantastic.

Hi,

Would you be able to create a sample document (witho out any sensitive information) that you could share that shows the problem, it is difficult to diagnoise a problem based on images alone.

Your pdf prints fine for me here on a Mac. The object in question is one compound path (as can be seen in Illustrator), so it appears Acrobat is not rendering it correctly for you & your client, I don't know how to fix this in Acrobat, but perhaps someone else knows a fix. Do you see a print option to "simulate overprinting"? (under Output), does that help? Another option would be to export your PDF as a high res image from Acrobat, but that would create a much larger file.
