Question

Moving / resizing text boxes increases file size

Does anyone know why resizing/moving text boxes increases the size of my PDF each time I save it?
I'm starting with 300KB...moving and resizing some texts....ending with 3MB file size. After the "optimizes saving" going down to 2.1MB.

Can anyone give me a hint on how to solve this?

- Always "Save As", instead of "Save", when your document is finished to reduce its size.

- Untick this option that increase multipage PDF forms size:

- Unless there is a constraint or good reason, you should limit yourself to using the 14 PDF standard fonts, those found at the top of the font list before the separator line (Courier, Helvetica, Times, Symbol).

See: https://appligent.com/what-are-the-base-14-fonts/

Using another font causes it to be fully embedded in the PDF, which increases its weight accordingly.

@996134 I tried to follow your hints but the result is still not great.

I want to show you this on an example PDF that I attached. Additionally,  I took some screenshots from my profile of how I would save optimized PDF. I do not export any fonts and use Arial, I have no pictures and still, the file is above 700KB.

Some update again...I found out that fonts take up to 98% of the space...even if I did not export them...

 So strange...

Stupid me...after checking my own screenshots I saw that I do export fonts...

Now the file is around 194KB and I#m happy with it 🙂
