Question

My pdf file has deleted letters in the 'Preview' box of my Yahoo emails but appears as it should when it is downloaded. Not sure why it is happening and how to fix it? Many Thanks

The pdf document does not appear as it should in the "preview" section when i send it via email on Yahoo Mail. There are typos all over the place but when i open the document or download it from my email it appears fine, without any typos. A recipient of this email has also been in touch to let me know that it is appearing that way for her as well. I edited the word doc and converted it to a pdf on a Microsoft laptop and then saved it on to my Mac and I have been sending this document on email via my Mac - could this be part of the problem?

Sounds like a bug with whatever PDF rendering system Yahoo is using to display the file in your browser.

Thanks for replying! That's what i thought. I've been in touch with Yahoo and they claim they cannot replicate the issue so it must be an issues with Adobe and that i should get in touch with them but i'm just not sure if theres anything they can do?

What do you see when you open the file using Adobe Acrobat or Reader?

Do you have the Acrobat ribbon in your version of Word? If so, try using it

for the conversion instead of the Save as PDF command.

Hi Thanks for your help so far. I've just opened it with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and it all looks fine on there...

I've just noticed that these typos only appear on Yahoo Mail when I use the Google Chrome browser. If I use Yahoo Mail on Safari or the Yahoo Mail app on my phone it's all ok. It's also all ok if I attach and send the document via gmail on Google Chrome. I've also uploaded it on to a few employment websites using Google Chrome and the preview there is all good as well. It is only when I use Yahoo Mail on Google Chrome (I have updated my Google Chrome browser). Hope this sheds a bit more light?
