new Acrobat DC - has accessible data table format changed?

In Acrobat XI an accessible data table tag structure would look like this: 

But I am teaching people how to convert tables in word to PDF.   When I convert an accessible word table into PDF (Acrobat DC) the data table tag structure now has paragraph breaks.  I mean it checks out fine with the accessibility report and the screen reader.  I was just wondering if paragraph breaks being included in the tags was a recent development
