No option for .doc or docx when creating pdf from file

Windows 10 with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
Create PDF, select file. The only file types shown are Adobe formats, Autodesk, BMP, GIF, HTML, jpeg, multimedia, pcx, png, postscript, text, tiff. See attached image
No .docx, .xlsx,
I am not able to create a PDF from a word doc.
I cannot open a .doc or .docx in Acrobat.
I saw an old post that said Microsoft Word has to be installed for those file types to show up. I have all those file types defaulted to LibreOffice. MS Office is not installed.
